Highlights from Web3 Jam
Coming off the success of this year’s HackFS, we were thrilled to host another event with our friends at Protocol Labs—focused on all things web3. For two weeks, our hackers were given the tools and support necessary to experiment with the status quo and build new-to-world ideas that could go on to shape the internet as we know it. Web3 Jam brought together developers, creatives, and innovators from every corner of the ecosystem to watch the sparks fly.

The level of talent and execution in all of the hacks we saw was unparalleled, and we had a tough time choosing our 10 Web3 Jam Finalists from over 150+ projects. 🐦 TweEther
TweEther is a decentralized Twitter-like feed for the Eth network via IPFS.
The Team: @Thomas__Han, @Bobafetador
What we liked: TweEhther improves the way users can visualize network data by communicating network information chronologically, simplifying the process for everyone.
📰 3Feed
3Feed is a decentralized paid newsletter based on RSS and other decentralized feed systems.
The Team: @Feedcaleb
What was cool: The future of decenetralized content creation is bright. 3Feed utilizes existing content feed mechanisms to bring users and creators closer in a distributed ecosystem.
💯dyFactor
DyFactor allows you to generate your wallet’s score based on your past activities and access advantages and bonuses in decentralized protocols.
The Team: @antoine_mkr, @0xethercake
What we liked: Incentives make the world go-round, and dashboards make keeping track of things simple. Cross the two and you have a wealth of opportunity for crypto users of all levels.
🎨Cryptomurals
CRYPTOMURALS is a platform that allows people to collect murals and street art around the world while they support the creators to keep giving color to the cities!

What was interesting: Killer idea, fun UI, what’s not to like? Brinding the gap between Bored Apes and Banksy will bring metaverse and IRL creators just that much closer.
🖼️ Photure
Photure is a social marketplace that allows you to share photos and videos in a collaborative editing environment. Also, everything is for sale.
The Team: @patrickjpistor
What we like: Photure exists right smack in the middle of a Venn-Diagram of creative expression, collaboration, and compensation—and pairs the idea with the UI-equivalent of a fine wine. This project is going places.
🐚 Seashells
Seashells is an NFT visualizer built in Unity3D which showcases uses of IPFS to store immutable properties for games, API’s and systems to fetch NFTdata and wrap 2D NFT’s into a fully interactive 3D environment.
The Team: @szsahaj
What’s cool: A data-visualizing app is great on its own, but a visually stunning one built with Unity3D is even better. We’re excited to see how this project will grow from here.
🖌️ NFTIZ
NFTIZ is a Figma plugin that allows designers to mine their work directly from Figma. They will be able to protect their work, share it, or even exchange it on marketplaces.

What we loved: NFTIZ smashes the barrier to entry for designers looking to enter the fray in the NFT-space. This is to NFT creation what webflow was to HTML, seriously.
🎟 ENS.me
ENS.me generates dynamic profiles for a user’s ENS domain, allowing the owner to customize and persist layout choices.
The Team: @tomwade
What we like: Sign in once, and take your online persona everywhere—that’s the web3 future ENS.me sets out to build. @Tomwade takes the concept of a “web3 primitive” to new heights, serving up a user experience so fluid that even prehistoric humans could enjoy.
💸 Backer
Backer is a Patreon for Web3. Build a community of backers. Streaming crypto memberships with NFT badges for member benefits. Creators get their own token which streams to Backers as a reward.
The Team: @mthacks
What we liked: We had high hopes for our repeat-finalist @mthacks, and they didn’t dissapoint. Backer solves the content-creator-crypto-compensation-conundrum but takes things a step further by letting creators reap the benefits of tokens. Tokenizing patronage offers creators a chance to build and sustain value within their spheres of influence, all while rewarding their fans.
🎒 Transdimensional Inventory Service
Transdimensional Inventory Service (TIS) aims to bridge the gap between Web3 and the metaverse — or more accurately, the fractured web of metaverses. TIS provides ways to share items across multiple metaverses.
The Team: @porcupinester
What was cool: TIS gives us a window into what the future might (hopefully) look like very soon. It attempts to remove the friction of metaverse-to-metaverse transfers, and offers a real path forward for metaverse compatibility.
We’re witnessing the growth of our ecosystem in real-time.
Web3 Jam may have only been two weeks long, but that didn’t stop our partner teams, presenters, and panelists from packing in plenty of powerful sessions for our hackathon participants. Partner-led workshops gave hackers direct access to the builders shaping the tools & tech they used, while spirited panel discussions offered them a window onto the conversations swirling in the space.
Weekly team building, idea generation, and project feedback sessions gave them a chance to build without restraints—letting their ideas speak for themselves. Our incredible partner teams kept the energy high throughout the event. Check out some of the highlights below.
Web3 Jam Partners
We could not have ended this year on such a high note without the help of our friends at Protocol Labs and our incredible partner teams. We are constantly iterating our approach to hackathons, but our driving motivation has never changed—to onboard thousands of developers to the Ethereum ecosystem by any means necessary. The support of partner teams allows us to offer our events for free to all interested participants and directly contributes to the next generation of web3 developers.
We strongly encourage hackers to continue working on their projects following these events and will work to connect them with relevant grants and opportunities. Your work is valuable, and no project is too large or too small.
