The summit to end all summits

We kicked things off with Polygon’s founders, Sandeep Nailwal, Jayntip Kanani (JD), and Mihailo Bjelic, who fueled the audience’s optimism with their captivating intro to Polygon. As hundreds of viewers entered the chat on ETHGlobal.tv, they presented their vision for the future of the project, announcing their acquisition of zk-startup Mir as part of their plans to bring Polygon Zero to life. Check out the Polygon Zero announcement below.

With the audience abuzz, Chaitanya Konda and Paul Brody gave us an in-depth demonstration of Polygon Nightfall—an Optimistic ZK-rollup privacy solution. Their session offered participants a chance to dive deep into the team’s efforts to utilize zk-cryptography in the Polygon project. Take a look at their demo below.

A packed day…

Following that up, we hosted back-to-back sessions as Bobbin Threadbare walked us through Polygon Miden: a STARK-based ZK Rollup and Jordi Baylina (Polygon Hermez) took us on a deep dive into PIL: Polynomial Identity Language. Both sessions gave viewers an intimate understanding of the current concepts and challenges at play in the zk space and kept everyone at the edge of their seats.

We rounded out the afternoon with a panel discussion featuring the “who’s-who” of zk researchers, builders, and leaders including Vitalik Buterin, Mihailo Bjelic, Brendan Farmer, Paul Brody, Bobbin Threadbare, Jordi Baylina, and Anna Rose. Into the zk verse ended the day on a high note and proved to be a riveting discussion on the future of zk proofs and their inclusion in our ever-changing ecosystem. An incredible panel to round out a wonderful afternoon.
